The OpenEye Search™
Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and Background Investigation Experts
WHAT WE DO
We know how to do a quality background investigation. No, we’re not computer hackers. You can think of the Deep Web or (Invisible Web) as online locations where search engines can’t index. Therefore they are ‘dark’ to any search engine you use. Google, Bing, and other engines use computer programs and bots to crawl the web. If a website owner tells them NOT to crawl the page, at that point, no one knows the page exists. It goes dark.
Our investigators have the experience, tools, and resources to find these pages by combining what we know – from the physical world – with what you don’t know in the digital world. This research is called OSINT – or Open Source Intelligence. And our clients love us for our expertise.
A background investigation on steroids.
There are several studies on how much of the Internet can’t be indexed. Many of the studies are over 5 years old. At this point, the best guess which is conservative is that 90% of the Internet is Deep Web.
Google, Bing, and other engines use spider bots to crawl the web and index content. If the content can’t be crawled, there has to be some reason for that – either Google can’t access the information, or the website owners blocked access to Google. Accidentally, Intentionally, or Maliciously.
Our background investigation reports are always court admissible. We operate within the confines of the law. We will never step into gray areas.
Our team of investigators update our clients on the daily basis – whether that’s after every development, once a day, or at the request of our clients.
Why This Matters
Technology has shaped how private investigators work. We utilize sources that weren’t available to us years, months, or even days ago. And it’s constantly changing.
We can find things for you that we couldn’t before – social media has allowed private investigators to conduct background investigations, complete open source investigative work, and find information on people previously unavailable.
Databases and repositories of information about people, places, and businesses are at our fingertips. Local law enforcement agencies, state and federal agencies, insurance adjusters, and attorneys also have access to these types of databases.
Much of the information we collect from Open Sources of Intelligence (OSINT) we can gather for you from the comfort of our office.
But, when we combine old-school gumshoe-type efforts with the new school technology available, we call that the OpenEye™ Search.
Why use the OpenEye™ Search? Because the world is online more every day, the things they post can be helpful in your case.
We use what people post to win cases. We save our client’s company’s and customers’ money.
Why can’t I just Google my Subject? Of course, you can. And Google is an invaluable tool that we’ll always use. You can conduct your own investigations.
But there are dozens of other search engines like Google. Besides that, Google crawls just the surface of the internet, which is about 4-5% of the entire web.
There’s another 95% out there!
That’s called the Deep Web. We have the expertise, training, and experience to find what’s in the Deep Web and use it in your case!
So, if you’re wondering, “Will a private eye search the Deep Web?” The answer is “Yes!”
This service is a great addition to our line of services.
